Skan's Products & Differentiators
Skan Process Intelligence Platform
The Skan Process Intelligence Platform uses computer vision and machine learning to continuously uncover the complete, end-to-end view of digital processes with zero interruption to employees and zero required integrations. Skan does this by going to the where “work” gets done, on the digital screens. Skan works by first deploying to all desktops a small piece of secure software – a Virtual Process Agent (VPA) which uses computer vision to identify each process by observing work as it happens on all of the screens of a workforce. Then, using the screen feeds, Skan uses machine learning to build accurate, end-to-end data maps, and applies advanced process analytics to help organizations understand the ‘what, why, and how’ of their processes. Skan then surfaces data-driven recommendations to improve processes.

I was previously the CPO and CSO at Worksoft, where I had the opportunity to partner with some of the largest global Fortune 1000 corporations, helping to automate business processes associated with packaged enterprise applications to mitigate risk and improve operational efficiency. How have you been seeing GenAI turn things around across industries? I believe GenAI offers an opportunity to fundamentally rethink every business process in every company in every industry vertical to drive orders of magnitude improvement in all aspects of the business, including operations, customer interaction, supply chain and compliance. Companies are just beginning to scratch the surface on implementing GenAI and the possibilities going forward are endless. Companies that achieve the best results with GenAI are not simply tinkering around the edges but are fundamentally re-thinking how they do business. What thoughts do you have around the future of GenAI? I believe that GenAI is coming out of the hype cycle and becoming more practical day by day for real-world business deployments. As more use cases are implemented and better frameworks are built, GenAI will become more fundamental for many companies. The focus now is on practical use cases and large scale production deployments rather than improvements in the models or core technology. Making GenAI more reliable, reducing hallucinations, handling security and LLM costs are the areas being explored and solved to make the promise of GenAI real for businesses. As these production deployments mature, I expect to see large scale adoption beyond POC/Pilot use that exists today. Take us through iGrafx’s newest feature ”Pia” and what makes it different as a GenAI solution? Pia is our Process Intelligence Assistant, a Generative AI assistant designed to remove one of the biggest barriers to process improvement: process documentation and modeling. Pia automatically turns natural language conversations and standard operating procedure (SOP) documents into fully functioning process diagrams. This offers employees of all technical backgrounds the opportunity to play a role in process optimization. Leveraging this GenAI technology massively accelerates a company’s ability to create accurate process diagrams that can be easily refined, updated, and improved to support strategic initiatives. What are some of the biggest hypes around GenAI that you’d like to dispel here? While GenAI is an extremely powerful tool changing the business landscape, I think companies are rushing to adopt this technology without clearly understanding the problems they are trying to solve. Much like the adoption of automation , organizations will fail to achieve the ROI they expect because they’re not properly aligning the technology with a specific business need. Also, companies can’t effectively deploy automation or GenAI if they don’t have complete transparency into their existing business processes. These technologies will simply result in more bottlenecks and inefficiencies if processes aren’t understood and optimized before the fact. If you had to call out some of the most interesting AI and GenAI players from around the global tech market, which ones would you shout out to? One notable innovative company in this space is Skan AI. Skan AI leverages artificial intelligence to map, analyze, and optimize business processes. By using AI-driven process intelligence, Skan captures data from user interactions and digital workflows to create a detailed visualization of how processes operate in real-world environments. This approach allows organizations to gain deep insights into their operations, identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
