Fasetto says it’s the first company to receive Dolby Atmos certification for an audio system that can send sound over the power lines in any home. Before a company can sell a product containing Dolby intellectual property, it must first have that product registered, tested and approved by Dolby Laboratories. Recently, Dolby Laboratories evaluated Fasetto’s AUDIO Cu sound-over-power-line home audio solution and awarded AUDIO Cu a Dolby Atmos Product Certification. Dolby certification is a major milestone for Fasetto and its AUDIO Cu sound over the power lines home audio solution. AUDIO Cu lets users experience high-fidelity Dolby Dolby Digital and Dolby Atmos sound through speakers or subwoofers connected across power lines instead of by wireless or speaker cables. The advantage of AUDIO Cu is the user can place and connect their home audio system almost anywhere with a power outlet because the audio signals are sent over a home’s domestic power circuits, without the hassle of cumbersome speaker wires or worrying about structural and RF interference. Serbian embedded software development company RT-RK specializes in consumer electronics and infotainment systems and partnered with Fasetto to develop AUDIO Cu. Dr. Miroslav Dokic, vice president of business development at RT-RK claims: “Fasetto is the only company that has overcome all the obstacles of moving data cleanly over power lines in all environments, a feat that the company spent many years working to achieve.” The Dolby-certified AUDIO Cu is a plug-and-play solution that gives consumers an affordable audio option without the headaches and limitations of an audio video receiver (AVR), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and WISA/WISA-e systems. This new technology decodes audio on the fly to match the source material to the speaker system configuration and then sends the signal along power lines to each channel using an AUDIO Cu amplified receiver. AUDIO Cu can send audio over the power lines to a maximum of 10 channels per audio system in any configuration from 2.0 to 9.1, including Dolby Atmos up to 7.1.2. It can also handle up to 32 different channels split between multiple systems within one environment.
