Mehr über Startupland #STARTUPTICKER Vice Golf +++ Zahlencheck: Das Münchner D2C-Unternehmen Vice Golf, das auf “hochwertigste Golfprodukte” setzt, ist ein echter Hingucker! Das Unternehmen, das 2012 von Ingo Düllmann und Rainer Stöckl gegründet wurde, erwirtschaftete 2022 einen Umsatz in Höhe von 72,2 Millionen (Vorjahr: 54,1 Millionen). “Der Umsatz konnte gegenüber dem Vorjahr um 33,5 % gesteigert werden. Maßgeblichen Anteil daran hat der Export in Drittländer und hier besonders wesentlich in die USA”, heißt es im Jahresabschluss. Der Jahresüberschuss lag bei rund 8 Millionen (Vorjahr: 6,7 Millionen). 27 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter arbeiteten 2022 (wie im Vorjahr) durchschnittlich für das Unternehmen. Das kleine Team bewegt somit eine ganze Menge Umsatz pro Person. Für 2023 rechnete das Team, das vom Private Equity-Investor Oakley Capital unterstützt wird, “ein starkes Umsatzwachstum”. Zudem rechnet das Unternehmen “mit einer anhaltend hohen Profitabilität, insbesondere aufgrund verbesserter Effizienz in Versand und Logistik”. Vice Golf ist somit ein echter Hidden Champion. Aktuell investierten Kirkbi, das Family-Office von Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen (Enkel des Lego-Gründers), der Londoner Vermögensverwalter M&G Investments und der Londoner Investor Lightrock sowie Altinvestoren 240 Millionen Euro in das Unternehmen, das Medizinwissen samt klinischer Entscheidungshilfen vermittelt. Das frische Kapital soll in die “Erschließung weiterer internationaler Märkte und die Ausweitung des Angebots für Krankenschwestern und andere Fachkräfte des Gesundheitswesens” fließen. Allein in Deutschland wird Amboss von über 100.000 Ärztinnen und Ärzten genutzt. Investoren wie Partech, Target Global und Cherry Ventures investierten in den vergangenen Jahren bereits 60 Millionen Euro in Amboss. Das profitable Unternehmen erwirtschaftete 2023 rund 48 Millionen Umsatz. Mit Novaheal und NEJM Knowledge+ übernahm das EdTech zuletzt zwei Jungfirmen, die gut zur Wachstumsstrategie des Unternehmens passen.
