March 27, 2025 at 09:00 am EDT Share CHICAGO, March 27 (Reuters) - A farmer survey releasedon Thursday by Farmers Business Network (FBN), an onlineagricultural platform, projected U.S. 2025 corn plantings at95.5 million acres, up 5.4% from the 90.6 million acres seededin 2024. * The survey projected U.S. soybean plantings at 83.5millionacres, down 4.1% from 2024, FBN said. * The survey forecast U.S. all-wheat plantings for harvestin 2025at 46.3 million acres, up 0.4% from 2024. FBN's figure includes34.1 million acres of winter wheat, 1.8 million acres of durumwheat and 10.4 million acres of spring wheat other than durum. * Initial U.S. Department of Agriculture estimates for 2025,issued at an annual conference in February, put corn plantingsat 94 million acres, soybean seedings at 84.0 million acres andwheat plantings at 47 million acres. * The USDA is scheduled to release survey-based acreageforecastsin its Prospective Plantings report on Monday, March 31. * FBN's survey projected 2025 cotton plantings at 11.2millionacres, nearly steady with the 11.18 million acres seeded in2024. * Sorghum plantings were forecast at 5.8 million acres, down7.9%from 2024. * FBN said its estimates were derived from a March survey ofnearly 1,000 U.S. farmers, representing 2 million acres of totalproduction.
